Ash Compton

Ash Compton is Chief Architect at Prolinx, responsible for technology strategy, architectural vision, product direction and engineering roadmaps. He leads the development of secure digital platforms and services, embedding security, resilience and operational assurance through a Secure by Design approach. He also leads Prolinx’s Product and DevOps Engineering function, driving innovation across its technology portfolio.

Before joining Prolinx, Ash spent 18 years in the Royal Air Force within the Aeronautical Engineering branch, working in mission critical environments where reliability, precision and operational effectiveness were essential. He subsequently transitioned into Information Technology, specialising in engineering and asset management systems.

Combining his military, engineering and technology experience, Ash provides strategic leadership across architecture, product development, platform engineering and service innovation. He is a strong advocate of Secure by Design principles, ensuring security is fundamental to every solution rather than simply a compliance requirement.

His expertise spans secure infrastructure, cloud and hybrid cloud platforms, application hosting, secure collaboration, automation and DevOps. Ash specialises in translating complex business and operational requirements into practical, secure and resilient technology solutions that support innovation and long-term business objectives.

Outside work, Ash enjoys spending time with his wife Lynn, their adult children and grandchildren.
