Brigadier (Rtd) Sara Sharkey CBE MSc BSc CEng MIET

Brigadier (Rtd) Sara Sharkey CBE MSc BSc CEng MIET brings senior Defence digital transformation experience to her role as Strategy Director at Prolinx. Following 30 years’ service in the British Army, Sara has led major programmes focused on data, applications, cloud, agile software development and shared data services, helping shape digital capability around operational advantage and mission need.

Sara spearheaded the transformation of Army information services before being appointed to lead the development of shared Defence cloud, MOD Cloud, and Defence application services. She was awarded a CBE for leading Defence’s digital response to COVID and later led Deloitte Digital in the Defence account, supporting clients across Artificial Intelligence, cloud migration and secure digital delivery.

Since joining Prolinx in June 2024, Sara has ensured our strategy, services and secure digital environments remain grounded in the realities of Defence, high-assurance operations, sovereign cloud adoption and customer mission outcomes. She is also an advocate for women in STEM and supports wider technology and skills development through sector and education roles.
