As a trusted supplier of secure, fully managed solutions to education, defence and other industries, Prolinx was approached by a major educational institution within the United Kingdom.
The objective was to assist with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the customers global teaching centre network.
Prolinx engaged with the customer to scope and gather all requirements utilising our mature Service Design and Transition approach, this considers all of the key service elements as well as business and user requirements.
Utilising services and technology already available within the Prolinx Assured Cloud, and combining with software development from our partner network, a cost effective, efficient solution was designed and delivered to meet customer needs.
The solution needed to make it easier for prospective customers to consume content and conduct business by assessing suitability of candidates and allowing procurement of relevant educational content / courses. The institute offers teaching and exams in 102 locations worldwide and processes over 2 million exams every year. A need had developed as customers were turning to digital content and learning, therefore a globally accessible online solution was required to attract customers and facilitate procurement and delivery of content.
A new Teaching Centre Management System (TCMS) project was established, requiring a fully managed and hosted software stack, global deployment, remote access and ongoing maintenance. The software was to list educational content and courses to potential customers, then allow registration and ultimately a simple, cost effective way to procure the educational content. The software needed to be delivered via a web portal, securely accessible by several regions including; Europe, East Asia, South Asia, South America, the Middle East, North Africa and Sub Saharan Africa.
The solution was project managed, developed and delivered to the customer utilising specialist software developed within the Prolinx partner network and securely hosted within the Prolinx Assured Cloud. Prolinx collaborated with carefully selected partners and suppliers, managing the procurement, installation, configuration, deployment and ongoing maintenance of the environment. Enhancements were also made to the existing software to provide additional features and functionality. The result was a true end-to-end fully managed software service that delivered on all customer requirements.
